Create a rectangular slider on an activity

I need to create a text view slider in my android activity.

Basically my activity downloads a file from the internet, while download in progress I want to show some useful information to user. I want on top of my activity a progress bar is shown, which indicate download progress. under this progress bar I want one text view slider which show some information upon slide.
